RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman's Certificate
Aims of the Course:
 This One Day course is specifically designed to provide you with all the knowledge to cruise safely on our inland waterways.
On successful completion of the course you will be awarded the RYA's Inland Waterways Helmsman's Certificate. If you intend cruising the waterways of France, Holland or Belgium, you can then apply for the RYA International Certificate of Competence. There is an extra book and an additional course fee.
Assumed Knowledge Before Course:
The course is designed for those of little or no experience of boat handling, but is very useful for those wishing to brush up on their practical skills.
Duration: One day, commencing at 9am. Approx. 6½ hours.
Cost: In 2007 the price will be £110 per person including VAT @ 17½ % . The full fee is due with application. Cheques should be made payable to Clifton Cruisers.
Boats: Narrowboats from the Clifton Cruisers hire fleet. All carry British Waterways Boat Safety Certificates.
Course notes: You will receive by post the RYA course notes book, which is a very informative guide in its own right and is included in the course fee.
 Conditions of Booking:
- Booking will not be considered final until the course fee is received.
- Cancellations effected less than 2 weeks before your course, 80% of fees are due.
- No more than 3 people can be accepted per course.
- Please bring your own packed lunch, coffee and tea are provided.
